Week 17–Class Recap James Fenimore Cooper’s “Deerslayer”

This week we are going over the biographical information about James Fenimore Cooper. You can find much of the information at this link.

The main reason that we are learning about Cooper, is so that you understand why Mark Twain is the funniest guy alive (but dead) when we start reading his satire on Cooper’s literary offenses.
